Most dental plans do not cover the costs of the implants (hardware) or the surgeons' fee for the placement of the implants.
Most plans give an alternate benefit for the prosthesis (crown or bridge) that goes over the top of the implant up to the allowable limits of the individual plan.
In a small number of instances, the insurance company will deny any benefits for the crown or bridge if it is related to the implant.
Patients should check their insurance handbook to see if their company plan pays for these services or their policies exclude these procedures.
Patients may also check with their individual companys individual Human Resources Department to see if implantology coverage is available with their plan.
Medical, auto insurance or homeowners plans will pay for some services only if related to an accident.
Our office policy requires payment for service as it is rendered.
As a courtesy to our patients, Pi Dental Center does process patient insurance forms.
