Dr. Tom Balshi, the founder of the Pi Dental Center, has a long legacy of professional affiliation with Temple University. A graduate of both the dental program and the graduate school of prosthodontics, Dr. Balshi served as faculty in the prosthodontic department under the leadership of Dr. Ernest Beckwith Mingledorff, a renowned mentor in the field of prosthetic care. In 1985, Dr. Balshi’s career turned to international lecturing and to building the clinical, teaching and research center in Fort Washington that celebrates twenty-five years of healthcare service this year.
Dr. Balshi currently serves on Dr. Ann Weaver Hart’s president’s advisory council.
Additionally, he serves as a clinical professor for Temple’s Kornberg School of Dentistry, teaching students hands on implant dentistry at the Pi Dental Center.
Dr. James Bowers, Dr. Gary Morreale, and Dr. Robert Braun, all Pi Dental Center associates, hold Temple faculty positions, in restorative dentistry, endodontics and oral medicine respectively.
