Conversion Prosthesis

A conversion prosthesis is an interim fixed-prosthesis that the patient wears from the time of placement of implants until the final prosthesis is completed. This prosthesis is made from the removable denture or the temporary prosthesis that the patient has been wearing since first stage surgery. During this first stage implant placement procedure, this removable prosthesis is modified into a fixed prosthesis. It allows the patient to experience the benefits of dental implants immediately after the implants are uncovered. This prosthesis is an essential component of the Teeth In A Day® procedure. This restoration stability, distribution of load and protects the suture sites. It also serves as a prototype for the final prosthesis and reduces treatment visits.
