Columbia University Students Learn Cutting Edge Implant Techniques in Fort Washington, PA
Fort Washington, PA, (February 2009)
At Viewpoint research and teaching center for dental medicine, board certified prosthodontists, Drs. Thomas Balshi and Glenn Wolfinger, demonstrated live implant surgery using the Teeth In A Day® and Teeth In an Hour™ protocols.
Over a two day period, Columbia University prosthodontic postgraduate students observed a patient with a non-restorable dentition receive a fully functional and esthetic full arch prosthesis in a single day and also learned to independently plan a virtual surgery on computer using a patient’s CT scan. These minimally invasive technological procedures were offered with complementary lectures and with the “surgeon’s eye view” of the surgery via sophisticated media room equipment.
In addition, students experienced the delivery of a CM Prosthetics Procera Bridge, one of the most esthetic and natural looking restorative laboratory solutions currently available.
Viewpoint at The Institute for Facial Esthetics in Fort Washington, PA offers numerous single day, multi-day and residency opportunities for doctors seeking advanced training with dental implants.
