Meet the professional dental team at Pi Dental Center!
Maryellen
As a Practice Administrator, Maryellen wears many hats behind the scenes at Pi. Besides being responsible for company finances, she also oversees all aspects of our dental center operations. Maryellen grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from LaSalle University. She joined the Pi professional dental team in 2006 and continues to be amazed at the transformation that occurs in not only a patient’s appearance but personality and lives when their smiles are restored and healthy! When not in her office at Pi, Maryellen keeps busy enjoying time with family and friends, reading, visiting antique and salvage stores for her next project, and volunteering for a local rescue.
Amy
Amy joined the Pi Dental Center’s professional dental team in 2013 as a Certified Dental Assistant with 17 years of experience. She is the Business Manager for Pi Dental Center. The most rewarding aspects of working at Pi are being a part of changing people’s lives by remaking their smiles and working with some of the most talented doctors in the profession. When not in the office, Amy loves making memories with her husband and children by going to the beach, camping, attending sporting events, and just being together!
Julia
Julia became a Registered Dental Hygienist over 27 years ago — after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Manor College and has spent her entire career here at Pi Dental! She is a member of the ADHA (American Dental Hygienists Association), PDHA (Pennsylvanian Dental Hygienist Association), and Who’s Who of America. Her professional calling is to serve people and develop lasting relationships by promoting health and wellness while delivering professional dental hygiene care. She was born and raised in Chernovtsy, Ukraine. When not at Pi, she can be found on a tennis court and, more recently, on a golf course. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, and cooking.
Shirley
While everyone at Pi Dental knows her as Shirley, her given name is Aracelis. Shirley wears many “hats” here at Pi Dental Center. Hired in October 1989 as a chairside Dental Assistant, she has been entrusted with many other titles over her 34+ years.
Purchasing office and dental supplies, as well as the office and dental equipment, are her primary tasks. Shirley enjoys her role at Pi Dental Center tremendously and takes it seriously. She shops diligently, ensuring practice dollars are spent wisely on quality products. In her many years at Pi, she’s seen faces come and go but is happy to say she loves the people she works with.
Married over 48 years, she has 4 grown children, and 12 grandchildren. Shirley and her husband also had guardianship over their two nieces for almost six years. Her family is quite international, adding some spice to her life with “never a dull moment” as their motto. Her favorite hobbies are reading and gardening. For Shirley, gardening is therapy! She loves traveling to see her Italian and Hungarian grandchildren. She is grateful for Skype and the technology that keeps her close to her loved ones here in Pennsylvania and abroad.
Dolly
Dolly is an RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) who joined the Pi team in 2013. With 30+ years of clinical experience, Dolly provides post-surgical oral hygiene evaluations of many of our patients. She gets to appreciate the patient’s new smile with them as they share their journey that brought them to Pi Dental. She earned her degree at Community College of Philadelphia and has been practicing clinical hygiene ever since. Out of the office, you will find her on the beach with her family and friends.
Nancy
Nancy Gausz joined Pi Dental Center as a Master Ceramist and Dental Technician in 2016. She has worked in the Dental Technology field for over 45 years and is excited by the ever-evolving role of the dental ceramist. During the last decade, outstanding advances in the development of CAD/ CAM for digital dentistry. Nancy enjoys her position as an in-house ceramist at Pi Dental Center. Working directly with the doctors and staff to bring the best results in ceramic restorations, including chairside custom shading, and providing extra care and convenience to the patient. She hopes to continue to learn, grow and change with the wave of new technologies. In her free time, Nancy enjoys spending time with her children in Florida. She is a mom to two grown children and grandchildren. Nancy lives in Bucks County, Pa.
Chris
Chris joined Pi Dental Center’s team over 37 years ago, just four months after the grand opening. As a computer specialist, she worked with the doctors and staff in transitioning the office to advanced computer technology systems and digital applications. Chris manages the computer hardware, software, x-ray, CAT scan, and photo equipment. Her responsibilities include marketing, website design and maintenance, email newsletter, blog writing/publication, computer graphics, and database management. Chris is inspired by the revolutionary dental technology and prosthodontists’ skills that enable Pi Dental Center to give our patients amazing new smiles and brighter lives. Ensuring accuracy of patient data, simplicity of computer operations, security and clarity of digital communications are Chris’s goals. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Temple University. She is a photographer and is active in her community in her spare time.
Andrea
Andrea joined the Pi team in 2004 as a chairside assistant. She earned her CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) and EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) license. Andrea is an integral part of the restorative and surgical team assisting with the Teeth in a Day® dental implant procedures. She also is the office’s OSHA Coordinator and teaches dental terminology at Cabrini University, Radnor, PA. In addition to dentistry, Andrea’s loves in life are her two wonderful children and her husband. Andrea serves as a competitive cheer coach for Celebrity Athletics.
Daryl
Daryl joined the Pi team in 1990 shortly after graduating from Manor College. She is a Pennsylvania State Board certified EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant). Daryl enjoys all aspects of working on patients from their initial new patient exam, general dental procedures, implant surgery to full reconstruction of their entire mouths. In her free time, she likes to work out and spend time with her two daughters and husband. Happy Hour with her close friends is a weekly routine. This helps to create the perfect balance for work and play!
Toni
As the Chief Technician of Pi’s In-house Lab, Toni stays very busy making sure all our patients’ smiles are just right. She joined the Pi team in 1987 and has been helping to change people’s lives through their smiles ever since. Toni grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and attended Penn State Ogontz campus and graduated from Lyons Technical Institute Dental Lab Technology Program over 36 years ago. In her spare time, Toni loves spending quality time with her granddaughter.
Tina
Tina joined the Pi Dental Center professional dental team in 2020. She speaks Italian and is a licensed Beauty Professional which fits perfectly with our practice. When not in the office, Tina is passionate about her children — making sure that they are always taken care of. In her spare time, Tina likes to cook, go to the gym, and spend time with family and friends, and travel to anywhere that is warm.
Kelly
Kelly joined the Pi Dental Center team in 2022. She is the newest member of the clinical team. Kelly is a graduate of Penn State Abington. During her time at Pi Dental Center, Kelly has learned a lot and continues to learn something new every day from the doctors and her experienced professional dental team. Kelly enjoys making patients feel calm and comfortable during their dental visits to assure that patients leave with confident smiles on their faces. Kelly is a newlywed who is enjoys travelling around the world with her husband and spending time with her parents.
Caroline
Caroline joined Pi Dental Center in May 2023 as an Administrative Assistant working at the front desk. She has 25 years of experience working as a legal assistant and 11 years working for Montgomery County. Caroline states that she is excited to be working with a wonderful group of doctors and staff. She has three children. In her free time, Caroline loves spending time outdoors, at the shore, hiking, gardening and helping her son’s non-profit environmental organization.
